Our New Location

If you follow us, you might have seen some posts recently about us moving locations. Our current location has served us well, but we have some plans for the future that will allow us to serve the community at a whole other level.

Our plans include a headquarters, or home base (if you will) for G8Only Corp, that will not only encompass our warehouse and our offices, but also leave us room for a brick and mortar retail shop.

THE DRAWING BOARD

Knowing the overall dimensions of our new location, we got to work trying to layout everything we needed/wanted in a way that made sense.

Having ample room for warehouse space is obviously key, but we had to be sure not to leave ourselves cramped in the retail and office areas as well.

LAYOUT

Once we got the footprint down (roughly), we had to make sure it made sense, we had to ensure that what needed to fit, actually would.

For the warehouse this includes ample shelving for product with room for our plastic forming equipment, apparel printing equipment packing area and room to back a delivery truck into when its time for drop-off’s or pick-up’s.

Not forgetting about our office desks and appliances and all the shelving and display items for the retail side, as well as an area to sit and record podcasts!

WHAT’S A PLAN WITHOUT EXECUTION!

So, now we had a plan.. Time to get to work, without revealing all of what we have in mind for the interior, we wanted a place that was unlike any retail speed shop we’ve seen. We wanted to incorporate an open-style floor plan, minimalistic design and over-all.. efficiency.

We want to bring an online element into a brick and mortar experience. Of course we plan on loading the shelves with all the “must haves” any enthusiast would need. But what about those special orders, what about those customers who need something we didn’t have on hand. In the past, situations like this would end with a customer being handed a thousand page catalog to thumb through in hopes that he landed on the right part. Well that isn’t good enough for us, and definitely not good enough for our customers. We cam up with away to do away with this and streamline the entire process, but the proof is in the pudding, and we don’t want to give away all our secrets just yet.

Not to mention, none of this is even doable until the build out is done, right? So, how is that going?

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

When we got the keys, the place was just a warehouse with a very small office area. Definitely not suited to our needs. So the tear down began almost immediately and now we are onto the remodel. Here is were we are at as of today (Friday, Aug 11th – 2023) — Future updates will be posted below
