Why does this fuel pump setup say "*This kit should be ran with a Vaporworx CTSV Controller"?
If this is just for an OEM fuel pump setup, not for a super high horsepower build does it actually require the Vaporworx CSTV Controller? And if so please explain why, thank you.
Anthony, thanks for the question. This is an OEM replacement for the CTS-V2, not the G8. It runs a dual pump setup - the CTS-V2 (vehicle) controls the output of the pump(s) using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) from the factory, while the G8 does not have a built in PWM system. So, if this kit was installed on a G8 with no PWM, both pumps would run at full speed, regardless of need. The PWM kit add-on from VaporWorx will, in essence, operate these pumps the way there were intended. Ramping up the amperage when needed.
