H&R Coilovers – Street Performance Coilovers: H&R coil overs are engineered for street use. Unlike traditional twin-tube shock absorbers, H&R Coil Overs feature a state-of-the-art mono-tube gas shock construction. Combined with the knowledge and skill of H&R’s suspension engineers, the use of this state-of-the-art technology results in the best suspension product that you can buy for your vehicle.
H&R is the originator of the true coil over system for the street and continues to lead the market with an extensive line of applications. Each shock is tuned with a progressive rate spring that is engineered from its inception to work with the shock’s valving, creating a finely tuned suspension system. H&R Coil Overs are the suspension answer for everybody, from daily drivers to the serious tuner.

I’ve waited a little bit before doing a review to make sure I had an assortment of road miles on the HR coilovers. Prior to the HR’s I had the pedders shocks and struts (standard height) with about 50k miles on them. I wanted to try something new because I hate the roll feeling when going through sharp turns, but I didn’t want to lose my comfortability as I like to daily the G8 in the warmer months. Joe was super helpful (as always) and helped me narrow down what would be best for my wants and needs. Needless to say I didn’t make any sacrifices. I can honestly say I didn’t even notice a difference in my first couple drives or from the passenger seat. I was a little worried it was so similar to the pedders that maybe I had wasted money with the upgrade because I didn’t see any gains from what I already had. That was until I realized I was braking less and taking sharp turns a lot faster than I normally would. It came with everything that was needed and I went ahead and upgraded my strut mounts – but once, cry once!
